The AXE™ woodturning tool system (patent pending) by Carter Products® was developed in 2015 with one mission — to design a better, more ergonomic way to turn using carbide insert lathe tools. After over a year of dedicated research and development, we proudly launched the full-size, Made in the USA AXE™ in 2016.

Our goals were simple: create a unique woodturning tool and handle that delivers superior comfort, control, and precision, while setting a new standard in the marketplace. We also committed to keeping it affordable without sacrificing quality — something Carter Products has been known for since 1929.
